What to Bring?

Sail & Play is both predominately and on water program. This means that everyone is guaranteed to get wet! Therefore you need to ensure that you bring the right clothing to ensure you don’t get cold.

What to wear to Sail & Play:Sailing the Yngling

Summer/Spring

  • Packed lunch and a snack for morning tea
  • Long sleeved shirt or rash vest (lycra top)
  • Quick drying shorts
  • Enclosed shoes (Dunlop Volleys, wetsuit shoes)
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Wind breaker jacket
  • Water bottle (filled with water)

Winter/Autumn

  • Packed lunch and a snack for morning tea
  • Long sleeved shirt or rash vest (lycra top)
  • Quick drying shorts
  • Enclosed shoes (Dunlop Volleys, wetsuit shoes)
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Wind breaker jacket
  • Warm Jumper
  • Wetsuit (if you so desire)
  • Water bottle (filled with water)

To each Sail & Play program we recommend you bring the following in your bag:

  • Change of clothes
  • Spare enclosed shoes
  • Spare hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Extra warm jumper
  • Towel

What else?

  • Please bring anything else you think your child might need to feel more comfortable
  • We recommend that if your child brings a mobile phone or wallet with money that they leave this stuff in the Sailing Office.
